1985 Hobie 14 Hobie Alter edition. White with black stripes, black frame/mast.
I haven't had a chance to clean the boat, yet…
I bought this boat with the intention of doing the North Americans or Nationals…but, I ran out of steam.
This means that I was prepping the boat to race. I have it set up for class legal 14 uni and beach sailing Turbo. I do NOT have a jib for the boat.. I will include a class-legal comptip mast and a second solid mast.
I have the boat completely disassembled as I was about to glue the frame onto the pylons.
Details:
Main sail is a 6 batten 'HotFizz' main in great shape. Yes, it is BRIGHT purple, Neon Yellow and Neon pink! I was planning on getting a new white sail if I did Nationals or NAs.
The Trampoline is a class legal white solid vinyl tramp with double grommets and turbo jib block holes.
Main blocks: Harken low profile 6:1 classic blocks with nice Dacron sheet.
Jib blocks: 40 mm Harkens, nice Dacron sheet
Downhaul: Upgraded class-legal power downhaul 6:1 blocks.
Steering: New Standard tiller connectors (haven't picked up the H20 connectors, yet). Adjustable upper castings with EPO rudders. I have refurbished the rudders, but I haven't drilled the holes, yet. I have all new parts to rebuild the steering. I also have the one piece gudgeons.
Tiller extension: Hot stick.
Rigging: I have a few sets of rigging, all in new or excellent shape.
Dolphin striker: add-on style, not factory.
Turbo kit: Non-furling, set up like a little 16 so you can leave the boat with the mast up and take the jib sail home with you.
Trailer: Galvanized with newer lights and tires. I have a title for the trailer! also has a 'boom-box' transport tube on it.
