Polishing Hulls
By Andrew Richardson
I find a six inch circular disk grinder at low speed with a foam backing
pad works best. I used 220 and 400 grit on the disk. Then, lubricated with
water and sanded with an orbital palm sander, 400 and 600 wet/dry.
POLISH. What works best for me, is using as much speed as possible (2500 as
a minimum) on the grinding wheel with a double sided, threaded wool cutting
pad, found at our locallly at our Baxter Auto Parts store here in The a
GREAT NORTHWEST Portland Oregon (pronounced Or-a-gun). Try to find the
product by "PPG" called "drx 65". Ask anyone who has polished for a lesson
or just remember to let the buffer first rubbbbbb it by pressing firmly down
at first and then lightly with highest speed to a dry glossy finish.
