Catamaran Sailing
Catamaran Pictures

Vol 1 - Issue 4 December 1996

Aw, shucks, folks....

Your E-zine is fantastic! I am really enjoying it each month. The reader participation in the classifieds, places to sail, list of readers, and letters to the editors make it a much more interesting publication than a book-stand magazine.

The comedy feature this month on Catamarans in Hollywood had me gut laughing. Thanks for a great publication.

Thanks Gary! I was hoping the interactivity feature would generate some interest and it appears that it has. During the development of the site I was warned about profanity issues that can arise with this sort of capability. As expected, this is a non-issue when dealing with folks of the Hobie Sailor caliber. 3 Issues, zero abuse.

Way to go! You did it again. I think each and every issue just get better and better. You guys are doing a h*** of a job. Would love to meet the two of you 'cause you're as crazy as I am! Thanks for a GREAT job!!!

We could not do it without writers like you Geoff. That reminds me: It's time to start submitting more of your great stuff!

If Hobies were in the Movies

The Hollywood stuff's a riot. I had tears in my eyes by the end of the page, I couldn't stop laughing.

Re: The Enforcer

This guy used to sail in our division. Our favorite rememberance of him is his famous line after you tacked 50 yards in front of him, "I HAD TO ALTER MY COURSE!!! GIVE ME 5 CIRCLES AND $50!!!"

My favorite response was, "BIOYA (blow it out your a**). GIVE ME A 180!"

Re: The Fearless One

Okay, okay, so we were headed for Poipu when Iniki was on the way to Kauai in 1993. (Constant 140 gusts over 190mph, category 5, more powerful than "Andrew" that struck Miami) and I was heard and have been since (two months ago) "hurricane/schumrricane, let's go sailing" was this a lucky stab or did I actually write this somewhere sometime that you read on the net?"

Mark Michealson

I just figured it would be a great line for "The Fearless One". So how many teeth do you have left, Mark?
