Spyderco Rescue Knife
About a year ago I did a review in OTW on the Spyderco Clip-it knife. While it has been a great knife, I wasn't thrilled with the pointed blade. I didn't like the idea of freeing someone trapped under a catamaran with a pointed blade knife. I also wanted a second knife for my crew.

While I was at the Smoky Mountain Knife Works in East Tennessee over Thanksgiving, I came across a good deal on a Spyderco Rescue. Usually they are priced at $40-45, they are currently running a special for $24.99.

While Winter hasn't let me test it out around the boat, it feels like a great knife. I still like the clip of the Clip-it knife over the handle mounted Rescue clip, but I will be more at ease with the sheepfoot blade tip of the Rescue knife.
