No launch fee. About the place: Launch at the boat ramp by the Coast Guard pier. Short sail past jetty into the bay. Great opportunities in the bay to see sea lions, sea otters, and even whales. Water temp is about 55 degrees so dress accordingly. A public beach is available nearby but there are no launch facilities at the beach. Best of all ... no PWCs, but many sea kayaks. Sometimes it is crowded on the weekends with fishing boats and divers launching rubber boats.
