About the place:
Just south of Dewey beach on Delaware RT.1 are three launch sites First is Rehobeth Bay Sailing Association, must be a member to launch here, except for race days. 3/4 of a mile south of Dewey Beach is Tower Road Bay Side S.P.,(this is where the non-associated regulars have chosen to Hobie sail)there is a large paved parking lot, no boat ramp, but the beach is only 40' wide, we use cat wheels. This beach is never crowded, as it is a seldom used swimming beach. At 1.1 miles south of Dewey Beach is New Road S.P., this is a designated sailing beach and with that designation comes the windsurfers On fair to exellent saing days this beach becomes flooded with boards and sails. The parking lot is not paved, but there is a boat ramp. At Tower Road and New Road sailing is usally great the bay is pretty shallow through out,but deep enough to drop rudders 100 yards of shore. the two state park beaches are nice sand with easy access sailing or driving. The local night life is great as Dewey beach is known for just that. So come out and join us on Rehobeth Bay
