Wind Conditions: Excellent Water Conditions: Fair Launch facilities: Good Beach conditions: Fair Traffic conditions: Excellent Safety: Poor Charges: none About the place: I stayed at the Grand Oasis Hotel in Cancun and the sailing was included. There are a few rentals along the lagoon side, but beware of the water. For each Hotel, there is a sewage treatment facility on the lagoon side and they dump the stuf into the water! I didn't know this until I got back to the hotel and could see it from the top floor. I was wondering why it smelled like a sewer! Regardless, once you get out into the lagoon, the water is clear and it is protected, so there are no waves. Winds were always good, so it made for nice sailing. You can't get a rental to sail on the ocean side because the waves are just too big for most people to get through. I would not recommend this spot for sailing.
