In the past I have taken a solid H16 mast and cut a little off each end to match the Getaway mast so the mast hound was at the same place. Put the H16 mast top back on and put the Getaway mast base on (with a little modification to fit) its still up and running on our beach after 5 years.

Yes it is still available - The last time I sailed her was at Lake Mead above the Hoover Dam in Las Vegas over 13 years ago. I was out all by myself and a gust of wind came up and turtled the boat. It took me a while but with the help of a boater an a couple of guys on jet skis, we were able to right her and get her back to shore and onto the trailer. It did put a tear in the main sail and a seam ripped in the tramp. So the mail and the tramp need to be resown. The hulls are in good shape. I was planning on changing the way the mast connects to the beam as it was difficult raising and lowering the mast as it is 29 feet long. I have been sailing several times on a Macgregor on Lake Tahoe and the mast has a bolt that attaches it to the sail boat and makes it very easy to raise and lower the mast but have not done it yet. It comes with a great trailer that has a custom made fully aluminum sail box and also an aluminum platform. It also has a beach launching mini trailer that detaches from the main trailer that you can use to hand launch the SolCat. It is missing the wheels and tire for the mini trailer.
