Hagar Invasion 2013
Saturday, Feb 9th, Hagar’s Run
Sunday, Feb 10th, Hagar’s Fun Day
Kelly Park, North Merritt Island, Florida; Corner of SR528 (the Beach Line) and N Banana River Drive Directions: I-95 to SR528 East; exit 52 N Banana River Drive south; Kelly Park is on immediate left.
Saturday: HAGAR’S RUN – Distance Race, approx. 16 miles total. Lemans start, race north to NASA causeway and back. Alternate (longer) course may be employed pending conditions. Registration - $10 single hand, $15 crewed boats Skipper’s meeting – 11:30 am, Start Time – 12:00 noon.
Saturday Night: HAGAR’S Trophy Party – 7pm – Directions provided after race. BYOB and we will all chip in for the grub (probably pizza)!
Sunday: HAGAR’S Fun Day Hagar & Lucky Eddie invade with directions for an anything goes event, with only one rule… Hagar’s proclamations are final ! (Though he can be bribed !!) Past races include poker runs, triangles with hard to find bouys, and balloon chases. Start Time – After Hagar comes ashore and when he feels like it! (Usually noonish…) After the event, tradition dictates trophies for everybody, handed out by Hagar himself, with a hilarious side of commentary to boot.
Grilled brats, dogs and beer after. Food donation - $5 a mouth!
