Description:
Scheduled for Saturday August 24th, with a rain date of Sunday August 25th.
Below are the proposed stops, subject to change. All starts will be off of Albemarle Street in Virginia Beach. Beach Access is available. Start Time: Up to the Skipper of each boat.,
Please take into account the tide, wind speed as well as the hard finish time of 3:00 pm. 5 point penalty will be assessed for each second prior to 3:00 PM and for each second after 3:00 PM the boat finishes.
There will be a large digital clock on the beach that will be the timing clock. Boat is determined to be finished when the Skipper crosses the start finish line on the beach next to the timing clock. 'Skipper' to be determined before the race starts. Does not have to be the person steering.
Per US Sailing the Skipper can be anywhere on the boat. (rough translation). Friends and Family are of course welcome to watch the festivities. ABOVE ALL LETS HAVE FUN AND ENJOY THE BEACH TOGETHER.
