Hangover Regatta New Years Day at Dunedin CausewayRace is put on by Tampa Bay Catamaran Sailors Inc.
Jan 1st. This race has been going on for over thirty years ( at least that’s how long I’ve been around it.) The make up date in case of weather Jan. 4th Sunday
Classes - Spin, Low Port, High Port.
Trophy's three deep and are bottles of Champagne.
This is a distance race. The course normally goes from the south side of the causeway west then north around Three Rooker Bar. (This is an island, not a drinking bar.) Depending on the breeze the course may change to a bit longer for the bigger boats. Some years it goes around Clearwater Beach and Caladesi Island., Sometimes the outer buoy off Clearwater is used. Use Google Earth to check the area out.
Cost $15 single, $20 double handed
Skippers meeting about 10:30am with the start shortly after. Normally about 11:15am.
We are working to have a chase boat to shadow the fleet for safety.
