(Beachcats- this race is 6-ish miles longer than the Tri-Point and goes around Anacapa counter-clockwise. The start is up-wind, and once you round Derrick Grace, you bear off and hang on 'till Anacapa :).

Pierpont Bay Yacht Club invites you to join us for the largest sailboat race in Ventura County. Big boats, small boats, one hull or more - come one, come all! The weekend’s festivities are second to none among race events. Bring your family and crew and be prepared to race hard and party hearty.
“Milt’s Race” is also part of SBYC’s Wilson Series and the Ventura Sailing Club's beach cat series. The fun begins at PBYC Friday, July 8th, with race packet pick-up beginning at 1900. The Skippers Meeting will be at 0830 on Saturday, July 9th. The first start follows at 1100. Saturday evening features complimentary after-race food. PBYC's legendary Champagne Breakfast begins at 1000 on Sunday, July 10th,
followed by trophy presentations. Ventura Isle Marina is again offering up to 7 nights free dockage to participants whose boats are docked outside Santa Barbara, Ventura or Channel Islands harbors, up to 3 nights for Santa Barbara boats, and one night for local boats, based on space availability.
COURSE: Starting near the Mandalay buoy, the race proceeds to Platform Grace and then Anacapa Island, leaving them to port. It then leaves the Ventura Harbor Whistle Buoy to starboard, and finishes in the Ventura Harbor entrance channel. The handicap distance is 42 nm.
