Description:
The Tri-Point is one of the best regattas on the west coast, especially for beachcats!
The start is three miles offshore, on a beam reach to an oil derrick. Once rounded, head across the windiest part of the Channel to Anacapa Island. From the other side of Anacapa, it is a 20 mile screaming broad reach back to the harbor finish line. The wind builds during the race. If you have some experience ocean sailing, this race will keep you smiling for four hours... Come race with us. PBYC is organized and professional in running this regatta (for 30 years). Oh yeah, there are those other kind of sailboats there too, you know, the fat, slow ones? It's a staggered start, but you will pass most of them. Sheet In!
