Description:
This is a continuation of the famous Steeplechase Regatta, now renamed in honor of Rick White, who passed away January, 2017.
The race will now be managed by the nonprofit organization SSPUSA Inc., organizers of the Florida 300 and Hiram’s Haul. https://www.SailSeriesPromotions.com
This race will take place in the Florida Keys. The course will follow the Rick White legendary route around Key Largo and the islands of Islamorada. It will start at the Islander Resort, a Guy Harvey Outpost, Islamorada, Florida; proceed north ocean side and then to bayside through Angel Fish Creek; then bayside through Jewfish Creek; finishing the first day at the Upper Keys Sailing Club, (UKSC); boats remaining overnight. Second day racing will restart in the water offshore at UKSC and sailing Florida Bay through or around the Bay island passages to Channel 5; exiting to ocean side and returning and finishing at the Islander Resort.
