Perfect catamaran

Looking for a good fit for a fun catamaran. Have sailed h-14, turbo, currently own h-16, just tried a Supercat 20TR. Loved the feel of the boat but the set-up it too much. Needs to be powerful sail plan that requires no expansion and able to hold 2-3 adults. Anyone got ideas icon_confused
You might try checking some old forum discussions. Lots of discussions on this type of topic.

Right now in the classifieds there is a H20, some H18's, some F18's, a Nacra 5.8NA, a Supercat 19XL, etc, etc. Basically find something 18 foot or longer and they will work with 2-3 people and most have plenty of power.

Newer designs tend to be more powerful (and complicated), and find what is for sale in your area. If you want to race, know the local racing scene.

Where are you located, are you sailing in the ocean or lakes, etc? With experienced crew? What are your thoughts on daggerboards? Some don't like them, especially if sailing in shallow waters.

Everyone here tends to like their boat the most icon_rolleyes so unbiased opinions can be hard to come by.... I think you would do great with a H18M or H18SX. I do love mine and have similar general requirements to you.

Central Florida, Lake county. Would sail in 27 sq. mi. lake or at New Smyrma Beach just south of Daytona. Have sailed daggers and not. Had Nacra 5.2. Dont really mind. This is more for fun and not for racing at this point. Most crews would be inexperienced. Could maybe handle a jib but not much more on an expectation.
I have a Prindle 18 Classic listed on this site and also on craigslist (South Florida) Could be just what you are looking for.
i think almost any older 18 would fit your description.
