prindle 16 replacement of rudder lines

Just bought an old Prindle 16 - I think 1994 - the rudder lines are frayed to a string. I cannot figure out how they lead inside the tiller. There seems to be a small block inside the tiller itself - knotted under the tiller and a 2:1 on the pull bar (to pull up)
anyone have a diagram or instructions on how to replace these lines? thanks - Jon

Rudders start on page seven but I don't think this is what you nead.

Do these two pages from the manual help? I think there may be other methods to do this but this should be the stock method on your Prindle 16. Hopefully some of our resident Prindle 16 experts will show up.

use 3/16" line, 1/4" is too big. here's what i did: if you have one side working good then do the other side just like it...in other words, do one side at a time so you have something to go by. the main thing is to run the line on either side or the tiller crossbar bolt. this is the biggest learning curve on a prindle without a doubt. after working with it for a while it makes sense but make sure to only break down one side at a time. do the other side a mirror image of the first side. good luck!
