G-Cat 5.0 Rudders and Jib Furler Question

I'm New to sailing and am having way too much fun with my recently purchased G-Cat. I have a couple of concerns however. The Forestay goes to the front cross beam. Which i have seen that newer g-cats have a bridle from the hulls. I want to put a Jib Furler on my Setup. I am willing to change the forestay though to include the bridle. If anyone else with a g-cat knows what length is between the beam and the top of the bridle. I am hoping that i wouldn't need to have the jib modified. Does anyone have any input in this area? Also i am looking to change the rudder system. Mine has line to pull up the rudders and also to pull them down in place. these don't work all that well. Any suggestions would be extremely appreciated.
I too am new to sailing and just picked up an 81' and 83' G-Cat 5.0. I have seen the bridle and forestay both ways, it appears it is up to discretion on how you want your setup. The 81' had forestay only, the 83' has bridles. I have seen some videos of guys running the bridles and also forestay with furler. Check out this link this guy has bridles, the forestay and furler. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QDR7ENI6VLg&feature=player_detailpage I am waiting on new shrouds for mine, when i step the mast i can pull those measurements for you, i do know that the bridles are each 40" long if that helps. As for the rudders i modified the original design except to pull and hold the rudders up the line comes through the tiller arm half way up and is held by a clam cleat. The hold down and kickup system is virtually the same except i put the hinged clamcleat on. The guys at murrays marine has a Nacra part that works well if you ask them i purchased mine from Duck works boat builders design, it is the auto release clam cleat. When i learn how to post pictues i can or send them directly to you. Good luck, Dustin
Dustin, there are several ways to post photos. For your own, create an album here at the Beachcats. Load your photos into the album. To link them, see the 6 boxes just below where you type your posts, URL,E-Mail, Image...? Click IMAGE. It will insert img, in brackets, twice. The cursor should default to a spot between the brackets. From the album you created, right click the image you want, select "copy image location". Now paste that where the cursor is, between the two sets of brackets. It is easier if you open two tabs, one with where you are typing the post, another showing your album, you don't have to be logged into the album window.
If the photo is already on the net, just right click it & select "copy image location". Paste that into the image link.
