I doubt if they made a lot of 21SC's because they didn't come along until the years when overall sales of beachcats were way down and they were extremely expensive, and also very heavy.
Extremely great for cruising, only problem was they were so heavy (advertised 600 pounds, probably 700+) that you couldn't beach them at a remote beach without some real strength on board, kind of defeating the purpose a little.
i saw one saturday @ ocean springs yacht club...21 sport i believe, no cuddy cabin/wings. talking to a couple who were interested in it(mildly), she said they were asking 3700$. i have seen the cabin/winged version there too but don't kwow if it's for sale. kinda a long way to check out a boat though...good luck!

Looks like that one is the 21SE, not the SC (Sports Cruiser). The model year has to be wrong if it's an SE, they only made those from about 1988-1990. They were created for the Pro-Sail professional racing circuit, 10 foot (expandable) beam and deck launched spinnaker.
I think Hobie created the 21SC to do something with the 21 foot hull molds after the quick demise of the ProSail series.
I am talking to a bank for funds, i was likeing the 21 because of the front net, for people to sit on. I am sure it is still cable of passing a Mono a times with people on it.? RIGHT? i am a crossing over from a MONO life so from a 33 ft to a 21 and no cabin, it wil be a litte different, I am also looking one day to get a F31

I have a 21 sc in good sailing condition, with trailer, engine mount and a 3hp mercury outboard
included, all ready to go, call 8087416847 for details..
Does anyone have any record or a document of a hobie 21 sc for what it cost when they came out? I need to get some information that provides what retail was for this boat, for bank? thanks
I am still looking for something that will allow the weight of 4 people! I was looking at a Getaway or the Hobie21 with front net, or i am not sure but a 23 stiletto. What else is a good beach CAT? Maybe a Strong hull boat? I have contacted some boat owners here but waiting on a return email..
The isotope is kinda cool but should not be compared to the 21sc in any way.
Its more of a race boat than a cruiser. I have seen the p16 almost always recommend over it for beach cat duties more on the recreation side of things.

I routinely see Hobie Getaways with 4 adults on them, without anybody sitting on the forward netting. Two people sit on the leeward side (on the trampoline, not on the hull,) and two sit on the windward bench. When you tack, the two on the bench move to the trampoline and the two on the trampoline move to their bench. QED.

The only place I've seen Isotop cats is at the Spring Fever Regatta. They are light single handed cat and a pretty old class, I didn't realize they are still in production.
Not what you are looking for for 4 people on board. Frankly if you can't find a Hobie 21 Sports Cruiser you could take four people on either a Hobie 18 with Wings or a Hobie Getaway with wings and front tramp.
ok cool thanks all, i am looking to at a stiletto 23 but would love to get a 27 that needs work done not sure how much rigging is evolved in a 23ft, if i wanted to move to one lake to the other..
