Ok nobody answer... so i make the question more tricky.
What about to epoxy a sheet of carbon on both side ?
Maybe you could explain what PCG rudders are, what they made up of?

some sort of plastic
I think Matt had the right answer on the Hobie forum. Not much is going to stick well to the plastic rudders. They flex too much and have different thermal expansion characteristic than epoxy. It might initially go on and look good, but very shortly the more brittle epoxy would come off in big chunks. I'd suggest you check to see if you can find some old EPOs. Shipping to ITA shouldn't be too bad icon_smile .

The West system guys now make some stuff called G-Flex that has enough flex in it to move with the plastic. I've seen articles in their newsletter about repairing plastic hatches for keelboats. I seem to remember that it's a lot more expensive than epoxy. My West system peeled off my plastic rudders in the spring. My buddy showed me his faired and sanded rudders he did with bondo. Epoxy sticks a lot better than polyester so I don't know what I did wrong. I'll probably try again this winter. Maybe using fresher hardener.
