hi,
it's gotten cold here and with nothing to fix on my boat, my mind has been wandering.......
a fellow cat sailor hauled his boat from the midwest to corpus christi, texas a few years ago to sail along the coast and had a ball doing it. here in the midwest, the wind is gusty and our lakes are small where we are so i've been thinking about doing what he did and haul my boat to the gulf next year.
i would like some advice from cat sailors near the gulf about the best locations to sail a beachcat, where the beaches are friendly, the water not too rough, boat traffic not dangerous, etc. etc. i would like to lodge close to the beach so i could leave the cat rigged on the beach if possible and not have to drop the mast at night. sailing around islands or inlets might be nice too.........
any suggestions???
