St. Louis, MO Racing Clinic using Virtual Skipper

Come to another Racing Clinic using Virtual Skipper to brush up on right of way rules while passing a afternoon with other sailors.

The next Racing Clinic is going to be next Saturday. We are changing things around a little in order to find a format that can be repeated on a monthly basis. Cyril & Amy at St.Louis Sail & Paddle are hosting the event at their store. The hope is that this will provide a larger meeting area and that we will be able to leave most everything setup from one event to the next. This will help me out by drastically cutting down the time I need to invest in each event. It will also help out Cyril & Amy by introducing sailors to their location. This event will be free to all, and will also be open to all of the local sailing clubs.

So, here are the details.

Location: St.Louis Sail & Paddle
3780 Rider Trail South
Earth City, MO 63045-1113
(314) 298-0411
Date: January 28th
Time: 1pm - 4pm

What to bring:
- A snack to share
- (Optional) A laptop that is capable of running Virtual Skipper 5
- A desire to pass a afternoon with fellow sailors learning more about the sport we love

Think of it as a warm up for this next season.
Ways to participate in the Clinic include:
- Taking a turn on a computer and racing each other.
- Standing behind a skipper on a computer and learning the program / talking about why the skipper is doing what he/she is doing
- Enjoying the food while watching the live racing on the projection screen
- Listening to and or participating in the rules based discussions about recorded races as they are replayed on the screen
- Refresh your memory of the right of way rules while racing against/heckling your fellow skippers

Looking forward to seeing everyone there,
Bryan Gill - Creve_Coeur_Sailing_Association
