This was found in a box of stray parts with an old Hobie 18. I think it was a mast support, any other guesses?

Definetly a mast support. How do I know? Buddy of mine has one almost identical to it. Keeps the mast off the rear crossmember while trailering

Yep, mast cradle is what that is. There were bolts that had half moon cuts so they could go into the track and support the mast for on the road.
