So in a month when the weather warms up, I plan to stiffen my '79 hobie 16. The hulls are solid and was a fresh water boat. I'm going to re-gel the bottom. The front cross bar rotates a bit in the casting, like 1/8' or more so I have to epoxy the boat. The guy who wrote the article on doing this did a great job explaining the whole process but wanted more feedback on this. I just want to do the job right and have a safe solid boat. when I looked at the manual, the dolphin striker is already on the crossbar. Do I have to take it off? Thank you in advance everyone.
