Fiberglass rear mast cradles?

I'm the owner of sailboxes.com and currently manufacture fiberglass sailboxes and hull cradles. I was wondering if anyone is in need of a rear fiberglass mast cradle. I'm in the process of making one for my AHPC C2 and was thinking about making a mold to sell them. I made the plug from my C2, but just sold my Hobie Tiger and checked to see if it fits and it did. I'm thinking that it will prolly fit the Nacra 20's and Infusions too. Let me know what y'all think.

I could use one for my 04 Nacra 570 but I'm thinking my beam may be different than what you are fitting?

Here's a pic of the plug, not finished yet, but the cradle will look just like the pic, but will be a smooth white gelcoat finish, I'm thinking $89 plus shipping and handling.

Looks very interesting. I have a rear stand, though, for my trailer so don't count me in. Good luck!

I'd be interested in a forward mast holder that bolts to a standard trailer via a U bolt ect. I see a lot of misc worn out metal U's, bow stop V's.

It's funny you mentioned the front cradle. I started making the plug for it yesterday. Will post a pic when I finish it. I'm thinking it will fit inside the 2" square tubing, that way people could cut the old metal V off and insert the new cradle then bolt it on.

I just bought a bow stop V for this, b/c my current setup mars the mast. I'm interested to see what you come up with here.

It will be a fiberglass cradle lined with 20 oz. marine carpet, so it won't scratch the mast.

For some reason, the pics don't load for me, but I have interest - depending on how they're constructed.

Plug is 95% complete, just have to sand a bit more, then make the mold.

Kenny makes really nice products. I used his cradles for my N20 (pivoting in the rear and static in the front) and could not have been more pleased. Excellent build quality and better design than the other options on the market.
Finally finished the mold...now I just have to wet sand and polish

This picture is very large just because thats the size i chose when uploading it. However here's how to do it, upload it to your faourite image hosting site i use imagshack.us. There should be a url under a share tab you just have to paste in. on image shack it is the letter i beside the picture (the top symbol i believe)

If you remove the " you will be left with an image

Kenny, I'll personally vouch to anyone the awesome craftsmanship and durability of your work!

Have you considered a pivot for the portion cradling the mast so there is complete contact between the cradle and the mast? Perhaps on front and back cradles...

Of course it'd drive engineering and price, but for a $x,xxx mast on the top boats, the extra $ is nil.
