slip to ship .

i have a hobie cat that has not been in the water for like 20 years been rebuilding it and the trailer .
my brother from north carolina is going to meet me and we are going to enter the race.
yesterday i filled some soft spots in the pylons ,today i pulled off the hubs and bearings hope to get some new ones to replace them on saturday .
i had paper work on the trailer but had never gotten anything but a bill of sale on the hobie 16 .
i went to the justice of the peace and got him to declare the boat was leaglly mine it took about a month and half but today i got a registration for the hobie..
i am hoping to actually get to do some sailing on it next set of days off.

I will be there and be glad to help. Ive sailed a H16 for years and they're nice. Have you set it up completely and sailed it recently? BTW, your pylons are officially referred to as "hulls". Lots of posted pics will help us help you as there are many thousands of H16's from scrap to like new condition these days. The year (the last numerical digits of you HIN on the starboard - right from behind the boat, will tell ya the year ) condition and quality of the boat will be an ease of mind on distance and/or offshore sailing.
A bill of sale is all that's required here in TN but you should check your local DMV just to be sure, however, sailboats are rarely targeted by water cops.......

Glad your coming...are you the guy form LA (Vermillion Bay)? I'm from Des Allemands, but moved to Ocean Springs 2 years ago. Your gonna love this event and will get hooked on doing it every year. We hope to have 40 or 50 boats and all will be willing to help you out with anything. See ya on the water!
