I almost bought a second Hobie 16' this week. It has good sails, a functional trailer and all of the rigging is there (including blocks). Down side (and why I did not buy it) was the fact that the starboard hull deck has some delamination.
A fact the seller failed to mention in the ad or the numerous emails we exchanged. However, their is an up side. He only wants $375 for the full package. 
If you are looking for sails, this might be your boat. You could part out the rest and get the sails for free. Sell the hardware and the trailer... the port hull and burn the starboard hull in tribute to Poseiden. This should involve rum. 
If you want to take a look, go the Lynchburg, VA CraigsList site. It is buried a few pages deep. No affiliation, not my boat, just passing on a potentially good deal.
