nacra 5.2 worth

so that nacra i was working one a couple years ago the owner hasn't really done anything to it and is ready to sell. it is a 76 5.2 without sails, it has new wire rigging. and the tramp. looks fairly new. it could use all new lines. some of the parts on it were changed probably to make it easier to sail, like the tiller is one the wrong side of the main blocks. the hulls are painted and one has 3 ports one has 4. i think the trailer is worth more then the boat and would be better to sell that separate it is a almost new custom trailer.

How much is asking for the boat.
The boat appears to be in good shape from the pic's you have but you said he doesn't have sails to go with the boat? You can get sails on this site or sometimes on Ebay but you need to figure that into the value.

He has it setup like a Solcat which has the tiller running in front of the main sheet. I have both boats and I can't say there is a big difference other than you have to bring the tiller stick around in front of you during a tack rather than flipping it around behind.

It may change the geometer of the steering.

It might be a good deal for the right price.

im not buying it, im helping him sell it
nice trailer!
Just throwing in my 2 cents
700 all together
or
400-600 just the boat
300-500 just the trailer. It is a nice looking trailer.

I wish that it wasn't clear down in FL.
I have a extra set of sails, the set in my picture, but I don't have a extra complete set of battens yet. Let me know what if he wants some sails.

so he decided not to sell and find sails. but he wants the sails to have color, cheap, and close to us. he it not looking for performance and will probably only sail it once a year,so i was wondering if a hobie 18 sails would work. anyone know any common sails that would work on a nacra 5.2, it dosnt matter is they have to be modified a little.
thanks
What I did was download a Texel Rating spreadsheet and use that find a sail that could be compatible.
Things to watch for are boom length (shortening that means modifying the whole leech and all the sail batten pockets)
and the type of mast the sail was designed for. A Hobie sail for use with a comptip may have a strange bend to the leading edge (even so , you'd have to try it to see if that is such a bad thing or not.
Try and find something with the same boom length at any rate.
For me there would be an issue with all the inspection ports added (there is a reason) there appears to be a total of 8. There should only be 2, one aft of the rear beam on each hull.
It has 7 ports. I think someone tryed to rebuild it because its also painted. The way its set up and the way he will be sailing it, it should be fine.
Where can I find the texel ratings, I couldn't find it
