Hobie 18 Assy ?

I have an older Hobie 18 hull. I have read the instructions on how to assemble the rear beam or aka.

But, the inboard side of the deck lip is too narrow to accept the "channel" that is used to anchor that bolt.

The hulls accept the channels and they fit in all locations but the inboard aft starboard location.

I know the hulls are all the same, decks too, coming out of a mold.

Did I miss something?

Thanks. Everyday a new crisis, like the goofy NFL.

It is kind of an interference fit, I just pushed mine in by hand and then bolted them.
