A Farewell to Beachcats...

it's been 5 life changing years with my hobie 18. But now she's gone. I'd like to inform you of the incredible life past beach cats though. Newly graduated I've moved out of the house and onto my new to me catalina 30. I've sailed over 300 nautical miles since July 16th. The dock life is a sweet one and I'm glad I've done it. For the first time I havE sailing friends and I've raced yachts 5 Wednesdays this summer. I've got the invite to work the spinnaker for a 32 footer in the race to Mackinac island next year. They're not fast (7plus knots at best) but the perks are seemingly endless.

It's OK Kevin. No need to feel guilty. You'll be back sooner than you think!

Good luck, and remember that experienced catamaran crew are always in demand if you want to keep a toe in the beachcat world.

Also a Catalina 30 makes a nice committee boat!
