We are trying to get some class racing going in Hobie 18's with spinnakers. You may have seen a group buy posted on this site earlier. Now we are trying to get something going with them. Our target for the first event is Daytona Hobie Fleet's Summer Sizzler held June 25,26th.
If you have a Hobie SX with spinnaker or just a hobie with any old spinnaker come and join in. We would like to try and get something going as a spinnaker class similar to the F18's. We currently have 3 spin boats committed. If we can create a little momentum then we might be able to target other events.
My thought is for a laid back fun class where we are not going to measure sails or worry about "class legal" spinnakers and such. Just get some boats learn to sail some triangles with spinnakers.
