I'm looking at a Reynolds 21 and it's advertised as being able to sleep 4 adults. Any idea how wide the interior of the hulls are?

I looked into a stiletto 23 a while back and I wouldn't consider the interior any more than storage. I would plan on beaching/anchoring the boat and having a tramp tent of some sort for sleeping. Not really familiar with the Reynolds 21 but imagine its similar.

I've already investigated the Stiletto 23 and know it won't work. The interior is just too narrow. The old Reynolds 21 brochure claims it sleeps 4 adults and from the photos it looks considerably wider than the Stiletto. I'm hoping someone can confirm this for me.

I owned a R21, and spent exactly one night in the hull. Felt like a coffin, absolutely had to have the nacelle open to make it tolerable. I would sleep on the tramp or on shore after that. Less space inside than a Stilletto 23. The Reynolds literature was big hype. The boat was a big beach cat that could carry lots of camping gear, but don't expect to spend any time inside the hulls. Original sails and mast are pretty outdated, a Supercat 20 mast with newer sails is a big upgrade. Rudders were pretty clunky as well. Had lots of fun with it though.

Thanks. We really want to be able to spend weekends aboard so the R21 just won't work for that. I'm also looking at a Warrior 29 and Stiletto 27, both of which have bigger interiors.

Thanks, but like yourself, I'm on the East coast.

Why not go straight to a Stiletto 27 SE (actually 24'). They are few dollars more, but will sleep 4 and more. Speed, good looks, and easy to update. I have owned a 27 for over 24 years and still gives that thrill.

I don't know if the width of the hull is any wider but it does not look as claustrophobic as the Reynolds 21.
