No experience with that knife, but even $60 seems pricey for what I would expect a beach cat sailor would use it for. I'd more likely buy a cheap $10 knife and view it as essentially disposable.
I have had mine fully immersed in saltwater many times with no staining or rusting of any part of the multi-tool. I got the sexy carbon fiber upgrade for Christmas one year and it failed in just a few months. The stainless version is bulletproof.
That looks more like a multitool than a safety knife, safety knife should work with one hand ideally, is it posible?. I got this one and it seems reliable. Too early to speak about corrosion. I have it in my pfd pocket with a lanyard. https://www.amazon.com/Gi…rsive-view_1535200309453
As an alternative, I picked 2 ozark trail multitools from Walmart for my fishing bag. The knife will need sharpening and I have no delusions of longevity. However, I picked them up for about $3 a piece, so if I get more than a season for each, I’m happy. I do keep them dry, so I wouldn’t recommend this for in a pfd or on the boat where it is regularly damp.
