This is going to be harder to visualize than expected . . .
A couple of notes. All the rigging is synthetic. Most of the downhaul set up is inside the zippered jib luff. Jib downhaul is 6:1. The conventional forestay jib pigtail was done away with.
I can tell you that jib downhaul is very effective, especially when racing. It light winds it is a game changer for me. When it's honkin' I run it flat upwind and drop the jib traveler until the inside telltales are on the edge of breaking. Downwind full draft. You can see a big difference between a flat jib and one full of draft based on the downhaul setting.
