Ahoy!
I have a Prindle 18-2 that was destroyed by Lake Michigan high water, big storm, and probably a seiche. The de-rigged boat was lifted off the beach and banged around the shore for about a week while I was gone. I've already done the hard part of second guessing my choice of "a safe place to keep it". Now it is time to move forward. I see two choices:
1) Find new hulls.
2) Sell what's left for parts.
I haven't heard good things about finding hulls. Something about the molds getting cut up? But if there is a source, I'd be happy to hear about it.
The sails, rigging, tramp, etc.. are all in great shape and would be useful to someone.
The best part of this boat (besides being really fast and fun) was that it has custom-made aluminum wings that attach to the crossbars.
Does anyone know if it would be easy to sell the parts one by one or if there are people who would be interested in the whole package (everything but the hulls).
