Spinnaker tape will not adhere to my sail -Sailkote issue

My entire spinnaker was treated with Sailkote to help with deploy and retreval.
Now I have some holes to repair. Tape will not adhere. Trying to understand what I need to use to clean a small area so the tape will stick. I have tried DISH SOAP and that did not work?
