Is anything selling?

I can't help but notice the lack of interesting discussions but what I'm really concerned about is the apparent slow down in boat sales from the classified section. Or am I wrong to think that just because I'm not seeing "Sold!" that boats aren't selling. I currently have an ad in for a G-Cat that's been in about a month and had only one offer for $500. Considering all the TLC I've put into restoring the boat, for that kind of money I would rather give it away to someone who knows what they're doing.

Some would say that people forget to get back on and tag their ad that the boat has sold.

That's it, members sell their boat or parts and don't come back to mark it sold. Lots of times I end up marking an ad sold after a couple of people looking for boats let me know one is already sold.

If you sell you item, please mark it sold!

I've seen it on your Craigs list ad, nice boat. I need to dump my Hobie 16. The trailer may be worth more than the boat. I'm just south in Punta Gorda. I haven't opened the sail tube after the 2 floods.
I've lowered the price to 2K. Come check it out and we'll set it up in the yard and you'll see how much easier it is to rig than a H-16.

Took ~4 years to sell my long-loved Whisper catamaran. Hard times.

I decided to sell it for way less than I thought should go, to the first person with solid enthusiasm for it. And that's what I did. It does (did?) need TLC, but once applied, it's a million-bucks-fun boat.

Hope it all comes together for you and an enthusiastic buyer.

I'm also selling a very nice foiling a-cat, on behalf of Youth Sailing Foundation / Miami Yacht Club. All proceeds go to kids sailing programs...
~~ I had a Hobie 18 Mag. that I sold on here. It was on here for 1 1/2 year's... I think it ended on page 5 or 6. A nice cat painted it yellow, no leak's. sail's in good shape ETC ETC ( I still have a picture of it ) Kinda still wish I had it, but had to sell it... To many toy's... Sold for a fair price to a kid from Buffalo, NY. We both had Pay-pal and I asked him for a deposit and $50. buck's for gas cause his hitch on his van was to rusty for him to tow it so I towed it from Syracuse, NY to Buffalo... I stayed awhile and we had a good talk and explained thing's to him... Shortly after that I took it off from this site... And I guess that's the end of the story ~~ Popeyez7 icon_wink

I haven't even had one call on it. Beach cat sailing is all but dead around here. You can sail the circumference of the entire bay and not see one beach cat and many homes have their own private beach. There are a few at the sailing club I used to belong to but most of them never went out, the owners paying for storage and 3 foot weeds growing around them. I'm sure the hurricane wrecked some of them. I hope someone takes the time to check out my ad.
