If I do not leave my car on the causeway and just leave my cat on the trailer, will I still need a permit? Thanks!
yes you need a permit. there is no longer any overnight parking without a permit. a permit lets you leave your any combo of boat/trailer/car for 2 nights a week. we are putting the stickers high on the mast yoke on the trailer. that way the cops can see it without getting out of their cars. we put our cat ON our trailer (or at least the bows). Next to it is probably ok, but takes up 2 spaces and gives people a chance to complain. if you put it next to your trailer i suggest tying it to the trailer so the cops would know they are "related" (actually we secure with lines and even use tree augers to secure our cats if there is a chance of storms overnight) if you leave your car, it should be attached to the trailer with the permit and/or the cops asked us to write a note in the dash or a copy of the paperwork (this would usually only be if your out camping). the permit does NOT allow you on the causeway after closing (11). edited by: andrewscott, Jun 22, 2010 - 05:51 PM
