This is sailing.
You're not on a motorboat where you can simply move a lever forward to go faster. You have learn to be more aware of the conditions, and the skillset takes a little time to get. Don't be mad at yourself for something going wrong...I've been sailing for 27 years and things still go wrong constantly. It's OK.
