mine works great. its lacking bass, which is understandable, but i can actually toss it in the ocean and it keeps pumping floating alongside the cat. I keep the remote in a drybag necklace. it goes longer than i do on a set of batteries.. and gets plenty loud.

So I just made one of these and it works great. One change I did, was to use a Monster remote control, http://www.monstercable.com/productdisplay.asp?pin=3714
Mainly because it's naturally water resistant but it did take a bit of filing of the headset plug to get the headset plug in the jack.
I used a pelican 1400 case with two 5" round speakers mounted on the lid. The whole things works as advertised. It's really cool.[/quote]
