But Duly, there were "circumstances" that you have forgot about. So here is the rest of the story: It was the weekend of the Horn Island Hop regatta. Myself and a few others had hosted a pretty intense "Pusser's Painkiller Party" on Friday night.http://www.thebeachcats.com/pictures/?g2_itemId=18603 Of course that put everybody in the mood for the weekend. Saturday we raced out to the island for the traditional chicken and beer. Everything started out just fine. My crew for the weekend was the beautiful Natalie, who was looking and feeling just fine! Since her girlfriends were drinking, she asked me if I would mind if she joined them. Why not? Sounded like an ok idea at the time . . . An hour later, my crew who does everything with intensity and the true competitive spirit, had "turned it up" a few notches. That's my girl. Double barrels. You go girl! She's all in. Right?. . . . Wrong. Well, let's just say that the beer flowed fast and easy and the sun was beating down on us. Oh crap, we gotta sail back! Uh Oh! . . . Well, let just say that my crew was having issues with common motor skills, you know, things like say . . . walking. Well there's no cab service back to OSYC, and the wind has now picked up and is howling. So we shove off the beach and start staging for the start sequence and . . . . . . you guessed it. (that's her in the bottom left corner of the picture) Yep fell off the boat. Not once, but three time. Told you she is a goal oriented high achiever. So during the race I had to retrieve (pluck with all my might) my crew several times from the drink, which allowed the light weight and slender Duly to captain the Dragonslayer past me and shamelessly beat me, boat for boat. In the end all was good and my lovely crew was happy, even at the finished of the wet and crazy ride back. In this image she appears to be hugging her captain, but the truth is she was propped up and hanging on to me. Sunday my enthusiastic crew was all in for the race around Deer Island. What a trooper she is. Here's an image of her working the sheets about an hour into the race. She did a great job. That's a F18 Tiger in the background that we rolled. So now you know the rest of the story. The only other times Duly beats me across the line is when he is my crew, so I give him credit for that. :-P Those are the facts and they are undisputed.
