Yep. Remove all the stitching and all but that 1/2" ring on the outside. When you remove the stiching, will all the old seal come off?
If not, now sand the ring of original seal to roughen it up, and prep it with Cotol, Let that dry and then glue the new seal over the old one.[/quote]
