I'm no expert but the black could cause structural problems later because it is going to get ridiculously hot any time you sail it even if you do store it covered. I think it would get hot enough to start breaking down the hulls. Can anyone correct me if I am wrong?
I used to own a 5.2 and it was a great solo boat. I wanted to paint it blue but everyone I talked to told me I was nuts to do anything but white in Florida. I settled for a thick blue stripe down each hull. It was no where near as "pretty" as this boat but it was structurally sound. I sold it for $800. I've regretted it ever since.[/quote]
