Skeg to skeg is 84" (7'), so if the axle is 7'9", that gives you 4.5" outside of each skeg. Sorry, I'm in Rome right now, only have a crummy iPad &I don't know how to "right click" to get the "save image location" option. :-x

I have never used cradles on the 5.0, or 5.7, the skeg hulls are very strong along the keels, however, the axle tends to wander a bit without cradles. I had cradles for the 10' beam Mystere, it never moved.
I personally think the cushions, (they appear to be a thick automotive radiator type hose), are useful if you don't have cradles.
I think you need end caps, if you don't have cradles. The tie down lines attach to the end caps. If you don't wrap the lines around the shrouds, the axles walk.<!-- editby --><em>Edited by Edchris177 on Aug 24, 2016 - 12:15 AM.</em><!-- end editby --> [/quote]
