They did not scratch them in like Hobie [/quote] I have owned several NACRA boats from the 80's and every one but the '83 5.0 had the serial numbers etched into the hull just like the picture. The 5.0 numbers were molded into the starboard transon to the right of the gudgeons. In the picture, the first 4 letters indicate manufacturer and boat type. NAC= NACRA......the D indicates it is a 5.8. (A=5.0, B=5.2, C=5.7, G=6.0 and H=5.5) The second 4 digits indicate hull and sail number. The last 4 digits indicate week?, month? and year of manufacture.[/quote]
