thanks ive seen that im not looking for anything that fancy like a front tramp, just a cargo net that i can put up there and trow gear in. -

from the image you posted, it looked like you wanted to do something similar to what i have... a panel that runs parallel to the beam.
i wouldn't trust netting for more than a cooler... and make sure its a water tight cooler....
On my h18 i had drilled a few holes in the deck lid overhang so i could lace some bungees into an x shaper and i put a paddle on one side and sometimes a little gear on the other side....
