im thinking about painting my hobie 16 in the near future. ive read about all the different choices of paints i could go with but i would really like to know how much paint it takes to paint the h16. i will be using a spray gun and probably 3 coats or so for durability. anyone whos painted their h16 before have any sugestions.
thanks

1 1/2 qts Interlux Brightside will cover very well with brush if you do it on 3 days. Tip hulls on edge & use ladder for top. Turn over next day & do other sides. Do top last day. Buy paint from Jamestown Distributors or West Marine (and give JD's price). I've done half dozen boats this way--they look like spray job. -

I tried the roller with tippin... did 1/2 a hull and didn't like the looks of it. striped it.. so I broke out the sprayer... I used more paint, but much better results. I put picts in the 'Tech. help gallery' I have 2 of them in there~~ ''18 Hobie painted'' & 'Boat painting'
