Replaceing the cleats on bolth halyards has me a bit stumped. Ive drilled out the rivet heads and cut off the 1/2 inch of exposed rivet then using a nailset tried to punch the remainder of the rivet in to the spare. It won't budge. That being said, the remainder of the rivet seems to have a coller around it. Almost as if a rivet was placed in to the mast before the cleate was attached. The a second rivet was placed into the top of the first to secure the cleat. It looks as if there is an incert located in the spare to rivet in to. Im in need of input hear. Not a clue on what Im looking at or how to proceade.
