I need a bit of help with the three pulleys I have. There's a large one with a cleat on it attached to the back of the boat at deck level, there's also a small pulley hooked to that one. Then I have a large pulley, I think hooks to the bottom of my boom. There are three places to hook pulleys under the boom, but it looks like I only have one. Can someone snap me a picture of this pulley set up, with the lines run? Or, draw me a picture how I rig the lines in the pulleys. Oh, I also have a pully on port and starbord sides of the deck by my feet, and 2 smaller one's up forward which I'm sure is for the jib, but, also, how does the boom line run through the two deck pulleys? Sorry for the novel. John -

Glad you are making progress!
My suggestion is that you will probably get better results if you post some more descriptive pics of your set up (esp the "blocks by your feet")

Is the one on the stern sit in front of some sort of track with a traveler car that can run back and forth across it?
I would guess the side is for a Jib but not sure about the inner one does it have some sort of cleating mechanism.
I would love one of these old boats for good family cruiser. Especially for the early part of the season when the water is so cold.

The stern large pulley has no track around it, but also has a cleat, see picture
Yes the inner pulley one has a cleat, it is shown in picture.
They guy I bought it from has 1 more he said it was actually in a little better shape(mine needed paint on deck. I bought mine on ebay for $850.00 with trailer, and he knocked off $50.00 because I had to paint her, (paint was $86.00 a gallon though. )
He said he's sell the other boat even cheaper, and it's been in a storage locker. Clear Lake, IA.

Looks like a 4 part mainsheet like H-14. Pull mainsheet out all together. Now go thru big pulley with cleat (bottom), up to rear pulley on boom, down to small pulley on main Harken, up to 2nd pulley on boom (that you don't have), down to big Harken & tie off on becket above small pulley. Now to Jib. You need two small pulleys & snap hook (oval) on jib clew. Lay jib sheet on deck. Now go thru cleat with white block, then black block (pulley), now to small block (pulley) on jib clew, then back to black block and tie off on what looks like a becket (or tie off place). Take other end of jib sheet & do same on other side. Black block slides on track. More forward pulls more on leach (trailing edge) of jib. More aft pulls more on foot of jib. Pete -

I confess, I'm no artist. This is how I understand your post Pete, but not sure if I'm starting right at the bottom at the cleat, and where to end it(star). Sorry for the crappy drawing.........
Sooo, I tie off where I have the star in drawing on top of small pulley, is this correct? If so, then, I have a problem, cause there is nowhere to tie off on that pulley, so, I guess I need 2 more pulleys like the single one in my center pic then? Is that correct?

The blocks in your top photo are attached to the boat, large end down. The blocks in the middle photo attach to the boom, large end up. Start at the becket ( where the line is tied now) and go down to the small block, then back up to the small sheave that is just above the becket ( where the line is tied now ). Come down to the same sheave in the bottom block ( small sheave in the ratcheting fiddle block ). Then go back up to the large sheave in the top block ( fiddle block ) back down to the large sheave in the bottom block and out the cleat. This will be 5 to 1.
