I don't know why I listen to my crew (A.K.A. My younger brother).
Just a day and a half before a 4 day trip up the Chesapeake Bay,he decides that the reeving on my 8:1 is done wrong...and pulls all of the line off the blocks.
Problem now, I can't find a diagram showing the proper reeving instructions for my 8:1 main sale block system..
All help appreciated!
I really don't want to have to sail without my blocks or only use a 4:1 or 6:1 on my Hobie 18 magnum.

murrays,com has pics
you can call harken, they will email you diagrams
even if you reeve it wrong.. it still will work fine.. just you will lose x % in pull strength.. not much. in the long term... you dont want chafe.. (at all) -

Depends on the blocks you have (I've got no idea the default for your boat). Here's a pic of an 8:1.

I'd just lay them on something flat, rotate one 90 degrees to the other, and start feeding the line through where it lines up...so to speak.

LOL, if I was not so visually/mentally challenged I could try your method...but I only have a day to get it done.
Surprisingly, Harken does not the 8:1 diagram on their website.
Thanks Anyway. -
