I still have 1 month to go. Our sailing beach doesn't open until first weekend in May.
Usually to cold anyways on Lake Michigan. We are showing 71 degrees with 20mph winds for 4/1. To bad surface water temps are still in the upper 30's on Lake Michigan.

Argh, the ice still hasn't broken on the lakes yet. First week of may is possible here, if you have a dry suit!! Actually a steamer wetsuit may keep you from dying also.

finishing up paint job on hulls this week, assemble boat with new rigging and parts and hope to have shakedown cruise by next weekend. tweek boat for S O S race april 17 in warm up for dauphin island race april 24....the longest winter ever is over1

i'm skippering my friends hunter 25(mono) BUT, i'm bringing my prindle 16 in case its blowing(race day decesion). if it rains i would rather be on the cat, well, i'd rather be on the cat anyways but he's an old school buddy and we always have a good time remonicing and mixing some fruittis and such...if our other crew can't make it we will probably sail the cat anyhoo.
